The Matrix Global Schools Scholarship offers exceptional students the opportunity to rise to their full potential and make their mark on the world. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of overall academic performance or exceptional talent in creative arts or sports.

The scholarship candidates will begin school depending on the Term that is being applied for.

Once your application has been accepted, you will be notified and an application test will be arranged for you within 14 working days.

If successful, you will be invited for an interview with the Scholarship Committee. Interviewees will be eligible for a 100%, 75%, 50% or 25% scholarship off the school fees.

Once the Scholarship Committee has made a decision on deserving applicants, you will be notified in writing after 14 working days if you have been selected.

01. When can I apply for the scholarship?

Matrix International School (MIS) – Between January and June for the next academic year’s intake*.
Matrix Private School (MPS) – Between May and October for the next academic year’s intake*.
A Levels – Between May and September for September intake*/ Between September and December for January intake*.

02. How can I apply for the scholarship?

Download the Application Form and record a testimonial video. After that, submit to hello@matrixschools.edu.my

03. What are the criteria for scholarship application?

Outstanding sports, talent, academic and/or character/leadership achievement. E.g. National or State Level Achievements.

04. Who gets priority?
Recipients who get priority are students who excel in more than one area. For example, students who excel in sports or academics, have talents with excellent character or leadership qualities.
05. What are the types of scholarships offered?

100%, 75%, 50% or 25% off the school fees.

06. What is the duration of the scholarship?

Subject to the offer agreement as well as duties and obligations maintained by the student.

07. What are the duties and obligations of the recipient?

Subject to the offer agreement and contract signed.

08. What are the benefits of the scholarship?

Exemption from school fees; however, this exemption does not cover uniform, books, academic references, other fees or any extra-curricular activities not covered by the school fees. The recipient is not entitled to free lodging, food or transportation. Payment of administration fees and other personal expenses is the responsibility of the recipient.

09. In what situations can the scholarship be terminated?
– Absence from study beyond the permissible limits without a valid excuse
– Breach of obligations set in the contract.
– Poor academic performance and falling below the stipulated requirements.
– Violation of school rules, regulations, values and culture.
10. Is the scholarship open to all year groups?

Matrix International School (MIS) – Upper Secondary Level (Year 10)
Matrix Private School (MPS) – Upper Secondary Level (Form 4)
Other ages are subjected to the scholarship committee approval.

11. Can we re-apply if we are unsuccessful with the first application?

Yes. You can re-apply for the next Key Stage /Level.

12. Can we postpone entry time for a scholarship that has been offered?

Decisions will be made based on a case to case basis.

13. Can we make an appeal if we are unsuccessful with the application?

Decisions are final and appeals will not be entertained

14. How will we be notified?

Only successful applicants will be notified. Successful applicants will be invited for an interview.
