Congratulations to our talented students, Pan Zhizhong (Year 11, PreA), Zhang Ziying (Year 11, PreA), Hou Xun (Year 11, PreA), and Zhang Hengyu (Year 10), from our International School for achieving 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐔𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐁 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐈 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐍𝐀𝐈𝐂) 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, held at Sunway University on 13 June 2026.

Their award-winning project, “Us Beyond Dimensions“, is an AI-generated animated short film that follows four Malaysian teenagers who are transported into a mysterious parallel world known as the Gray Realm. As they face challenges together, each discovers hidden strengths within their perceived weaknesses, ultimately learning the importance of friendship, resilience, self-acceptance, and personal growth.

Created entirely using AI-powered tools for character design, video generation, and editing, the project showcases how emerging technologies can empower young creators to tell meaningful stories with creativity and innovation.

We are incredibly proud of their achievement and commend them for representing the school with excellence.

Us Beyond Dimensions:

Dashan is a large-built boy who hides his physical strength behind a veil of self-consciousness, Leo is a logic-driven boy whose emotional “system” has been disabled, Zoe is an artist who foresees danger through her sketches, and Henry is a perfectionist who constantly fears letting his team down.

Trapped in the Gray Realm, they discover their unique powers emerge under threat. Dashan’s protective orange aura, Zoe’s prophetic golden vision, Henry’s tactical red resolve, and Leo’s analytical blue light, eventually transforms into warm gold as he learns to feel for the first time.

The critical turning point comes when Dashan shields Leo from collapsing debris, and Leo finally experiences genuine gratitude, the moment his analytical mind breaks through to authentic emotion.

The film concludes with the four friends returning home together, choosing unity over escape. The final message: “Growth is learning to make peace with your own imperfections.”
